  • 40% of our food is wasted and we spend around $940 billion on food waste and food loss per year.
  • Capitalism tends to leave those with higher positions in society to consume as much as they want, while others are left with their scraps and cannot account for what they need. This perpetuates the cycle of Capitalism and economic greed in food systems and dictates which people in society have access to what.
  • When the excessiveness of overconsumption leaves the disadvantaged at risk, there is no space for humanity; meaning that every person’s claim to life essentials has been unfulfilled and reduced.

With GOODFOOD4U, everyone will be provided an amount that is in alignment with the needs of themselves and their families. This is done in order to lessen the feeling of inequality / unfairness that some citizens who experience food insecurity feel watching those who have the means to have access to amounts of food that are above their means.
