About The Creator

My name is Tenay’jah Anderson, and I am currently a student at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. With my major being Health and Society and also holding a Sociology minor, I have always had a deep passion for health outcomes within populations and the social conditions and behaviors that contribute to them. My biggest drive has been to lessen the disparities between communities; to somehow make a difference in the amount of injustices that we see everyday. Food systems specifically have sparked my interest due to the simple fact that food is a right, a healing property, a connection between people, and I feel that anyone being deprived of their basic human rights is one of the biggest crimes of humanity today.

Living in a fairly progressive state such as Massachusetts has instilled in me the drive to dig deeper. Every city has room for improvement and it has been a great joy to analyze the systems in place that play a huge role in the web that is sustainability. Sustainability has introduced me to the fact that the world will not be well until all people and economical systems are well.
